Many of you will be familiar with my unswerving and enthusiastic love of all things art.
Last Friday I took my first pottery wheel private course session after nearly 6 years break. I don’t know why I love pottery so much. Never had I ever a previous connection with anyone doing pottery in the wheel, nor a memory of watching live someone creating in his studio.
For some strange reason it always fascinated me.

Watching videos online, on YouTube first and later on Instagram I was always mesmerized. The process of creation seeing it unfolding in front of your eyes. The process of pure mud mixed with water becoming a tangible object is so freaking exciting for me.
I made 4 pieces, which were ruined just to get back to the process basics. I left there feeling so happy and full. Daydreaming of a small, tiny little room somewhere in Aegean where I can gaze at the blue sparkling sea and get filthy dirty in front of a pottery wheel. My very own creativity corner. My very own paradise. I don’t care for the size of the room, neither for the size of the house really.
What is it that as we grow up we seek for smaller spaces, quiet luxury and comfort?
