“Back to the future” was released in July 1985. It’s considered by critics and audiences as one of the greatest science fiction films ever made and ranked among the best films ever made
The movie storied something unique and future forward; a travel in time.
50 years from the blockbuster release still humans haven’t discovered a tangible way to do that but many times do wish turning back or forward the time.
But is that something you should think about?
I guess it comes in everyone’s mind at some point in life. Maybe because we want to relive the joy of a past moment, do or act differently to prevent things happening or maybe know beforehand what the future beholds.
I don’t know about you but I have surely have had this kind of thoughts a zillion times. Probably it has a lot to do with the fact that I grew up living in a life of second thoughts. The things I could have done differently or the decisions and choices I made, sometimes can stuck in my mind for days or months.
The scenarios of what my decisions may bring in the future is a whole another whirlwind too.
At some point I met someone in my life who said to me in a clear and gentle manner; I am doing the best I can and that fact should be enough to you. Little did he know that he switched a button in my mind.
The phrase stuck in my head and in a way unleashed my constant cuffs to the time machine.
I do the best I can. My mistakes are part of that process and others people mistakes are part of that process too. I can’t change what has been done, neither can I control the future as whatever my actions or decisions are, they only partly structure the final outcome.
Love your past, hug it tightly with its mistakes. Bring to your home items to remind you moments, not necessarily perfect ones.
Live the now, laugh, cry, take the turns and make choices. The time is now, its ok and you will be ok.
Love,
